Celebrate a Magnifique Melbourne Cup!

Sofitel Brisbane Central, Classic Hits 4KQ and Brisbane Arcade will host a winning Melbourne Cup luncheon on Tuesday 2nd November.

Punters, fashionista’s and race day enthusiasts will enjoy the spectacular action of the Melbourne Cup on the Sofitel ballroom cinema screens whilst indulging in a gourmet feast by Executive Chef Patrice Falantin.

Hosted by Classic Hits 4KQ Breakfast Crew, the Melbourne Cup luncheon includes Champagne cocktail on arrival, a three course gourmet menu, free flow sparkling and a selection of wine and beer.

The contagious tunes of “Out There” will keep guests entertained as they perform an impressive repertoire of classics including hits from Tom Jones, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Elvis The Temptations, Tina Turner and many more.

Enjoy spring fashion parades by Brisbane Arcade, fashions on the field competitions, sweeps and the convenience of on-site TAB.

Fantastic prizes are up for grabs and one lucky fashionista will strut away with a 5 night holiday for two at the luxurious Sofitel Fiji, including return airfares for two and breakfast daily. Bula!

Celebrity Chef Alain Fabrègues at Sofitel Brisbane

Celebrity Chef Alain Fabrègues is coming to Queensland for the long awaited launch of his first cook book, 'Degustation; A Master Chef's Life Through Menus'.

Chef Alain is the owner and head chef of the much lauded restaurant The Loosebox, located beyond his adopted hometown, Perth, in Western Australia.

“The Loose Box is a shrine to fine dining, yet free from the stuffiness that can mar similar experiences in France.” Matt Preston, Delicious magazine.

To celebrate Chef Alain’s arrival and Brisbane’s continuing love affair with French cuisine, Sofitel has created a menu of ‘Magnifique’ events to take place at the hotel on Tuesday 24th of August. For further details visit Sofitel Brisbane Central's recently launched What's On page.

If you can't make it to one of the 'Magnifique' events on Tuesday 24th of August, Chef Alain's three-course degustation menu will be available from Wednesday 25th of August until Saturday September 4th.
