Celebrate the magic of Christmas with Queensland Ballet’s final season of Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker. This much-loved festive favourite returns for one last year to enchant audiences with its sparkling winter wonderland. Choreographed by Ben Stevenson OBE and performed to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score played live by Queensland Symphony Orchestra, this cherished tradition marks its thirteenth and final season in Brisbane.
On Christmas Eve, under twinkling lights and festive cheer, young Clara is swept into a world of wonder when her Nutcracker doll comes to life. Journey with Clara and the Nutcracker Prince across the Lemonade Sea to the Kingdom of Sweets, where magical characters including the Sugar Plum Fairy and Mother Ginger await.
First created by Ben Stevenson OBE in 1976 and premiered in Brisbane in 2013, this production has become Queensland Ballet’s most treasured holiday tradition. Don’t miss your chance to experience The Nutcracker one final time with the whole family.
