The Face of Chouchou

Say Bonjour to Eun-Ji, Head Pastry Chef at Sofitel Brisbane Central and the face behind Chouchou by Sofitel.

Born in South Korea, Eun-Ji developed a passion for pastry as a teenager. At 18, she decided to learn the trade from the country where it all started and moved to France.

Admitted into the prestigious Institut National de la Boulangerie Pâtisserie (INBP) in Paris, she passed her vocational training certificates in the art of bakery and pastry making, on her way to earn the highest diploma one can get in the field of pastry making: the highly sought-after Brevet de Maîtrise Supérieur.

For several years, she perfected her art in renowned Parisian institutions such as Dalloyau and Michelin-starred restaurants such as Le Lancaster and Le Bristol before moving abroad.

As Head Chef for Pastry Development for the SPC Group in Seoul, she created new pastries for the Korean market but also for China, Vietnam, Singapore, the United States and France.

Now in Australia, she is looking to bring her French flair and international expertise to Brisbane by making Chouchou the ultimate reference for refined pastry connoisseurs.

Chouchou by Sofitel is officially now open for dine-in, with pre-ordering available from 10 October 2022.
